Shreveport Police Arrest Two in Violent Beating
On May 30th, 2023, at 1:45 a.m., Shreveport Police officers responded to a call of an assault and battery call in the 200 block of Columbia Street. Responding officers were informed of a man was being attacked by two people with a hammer. Officers arrived and found that the victim had been struck in the head multiple times with a hammer.
The victim was transported to a local area hospital with serious injuries. Investigators with the Shreveport Police Violent Crimes Unit responded and began their investigation. Detectives identified Collin Nading (07/12/1988) and Brittney Behan (05/11/1991) as the suspects in the beating of the victim. Detectives obtained warrants for one count of 2nd-degree Aggravated battery for Collin Nading and one count of principal to 2nd-degree Aggravated battery for Brittney Behan.
On June 2nd, 2023, members of the Community Response Unit were able to take Nading and Behan into custody for the outstanding warrants. The victim was severely injured, but is expected to recover.
We must remind that all suspects are innocent until proven guilty.
