Shreveport Police Arrest One for Burglary and Two for Accessory

Shreveport Police Department arrested a man following a weeks-long investigation into multiple vehicle burglaries across the city.

Detectives with the Property Crimes Unit, working alongside multiple law enforcement agencies, developed information indicating Johnathan Winslow may have been staying at a residence on Bowie Street.

Property Crimes investigators, SPD K-9 officers, and SPD patrol officers responded to the home and detained several individuals, including Winslow.

Due to Winslow’s suspected involvement in several ongoing burglary investigations, Detectives obtained a search warrant. During the search, investigators found multiple items of evidentiary value, including clothing and a backpack believed to have been used during two vehicle burglaries that happened at the Holiday Inn Express on Interstate Drive and the Comfort Inn & Suites on Healthplex Drive.

Winslow was booked on many outstanding warrants obtained by SPD Property Crimes investigators, as well as an active warrant through Louisiana Probation and Parole.

"Investigators believe Winslow is connected to multiple series of vehicle burglaries throughout Shreveport. Additional charges are expected as investigators continue reviewing evidence and working through the related cases.

Christian Price and Warren Williams were also arrested and charged with accessory after the fact. Additional charges involving those individuals and others may be forthcoming."
