Caddo Deputies Arrest Man for Allegedly Shooting His Father With A Pellet Gun
Caddo Parish Sheriff's Deputies arrested a 28 year-old man after responding to reports of a masked man carrying a long gun on South Lakeshore Drive.
Deputies responded to Lakeshore Drive after receiving reports of a man wearing a mask and walking along the roadway with what appeared to be a long gun. During the investigation, CPSO Deputies determined that the incident might be connected to a domestic disturbance reported earlier this week.
An arrest warrant for aggravated domestic abuse was signed by a Judge. The warrant orders 28 year-old John Perkins Jr. to be held without bond pending further proceedings. Perkins is facing charges of aggravated domestic abuse for allegedly shooting at his father with a pellet gun during a previous domestic incident.
Caddo Deputies, along with members of the Sheriff's Office K-9 and Drone units, went to Perkins' home to serve the felony arrest warrant. Deputies announced their presence and ordered Perkins to surrender, but he refused to come out. As a result, Deputies forced their way in to the home and took Perkins into custody without further incident.
From CPSO:
"No deputies, residents, or other individuals were injured during the arrest. Perkins was transported to the Caddo Correctional Center, where he was booked on the warrant for Domestic Abuse Aggravated Assault.
The investigation is ongoing."
