
More Domestic Violence Arrests by Shreveport Police
The Shreveport Police Department has announced the recent arrests of two men in unrelated domestic violence investigations, highlighting a continued push to hold offenders accountable and protect vulnerable residents.
Shreveport Detectives Arrest Kartravious Williams in Child Endangerment Case
On March 24, 2026, just after 5:00 p.m., detectives with the Shreveport Police Department’s Domestic Violence Unit took Kartravious Williams into custody. Williams faces multiple charges, including one count of domestic abuse battery and one count of simple criminal damage to property.

Crucially, Williams was also charged with domestic abuse battery with child endangerment, a charge used when domestic violence occurs in the presence of a minor.
Warrant Unit Apprehends Second Suspect in Ongoing Investigation
In a separate action on March 25, 2026, officers with the Shreveport Police Department’s Warrant Unit arrested Alvin Furgerson. Furgerson was apprehended on an outstanding warrant stemming from a prior domestic violence investigation.
The department reiterated its stance on these cases, stating they will continue to "aggressively investigate domestic violence cases" to ensure the safety of the community, particularly when children are involved.
