Shreveport Police Dispatcher Arrested for Alleged Domestic Battery

Earlier this week, Shreveport Police officers responded to a domestic violence call in the 900 block of Lazy Wood Lane.

Officers learned that an off-duty Shreveport Police Department dispatcher, Trashae Wallace, had been involved in a violent altercation with a family member. Investigators were able to determine that Wallace allegedly committed a battery upon the victim.

Wallace was arrested and charged with one count of Simple Battery.

Chief Wayne Smith immediately placed Wallace on administrative leave. The Shreveport Police Department’s Internal Affairs Bureau will also conduct an administrative investigation into the incident.

Wallace has been employed by the Shreveport Police Department for approximately four years.
