Project Celebration of Many, Louisiana Gets State Grant for Domestic Violence Shelter in Northwest Louisiana
Project Celebration of Many, Louisiana has been selected to provide domestic violence shelter for Shreveport Bossier City.
A spokeswoman for the Department of Children and Family Services tells KEEL New that a news release would be issued on Tuesday. But KEEL has learned that a conference call was held with all of the parties involved regarding the transition from Providence House to the new provider.
Sources tell us Project Celebration plan to negotiate a lease to continue the program at the Providence House Safe House for 2-3 months. We are working to find out what will happen after that.
Project Celebration and the YWCA were the only two programs to apply for the state funding. We hope to chat with several parties involved over the next couple of days.
