When SPD showed up there was a man with a nasty stab-wound to his back. The man said his ex-girlfriend Latonya Kennon forced her way in to his house and stabbed him in the back with a screwdriver. The man was rushed to the hospital to be treated for his stab wound.

Kennon ran off after allegedly stabbing the man and Police launched an investigation. Police were able to get a warrant out on Kennon and were searching for her for a few days.

Yesterday, SPD Officers were able to finally find Kennon and take her in to custody. Kennon has been charged with one count of home invasion and one count of domestic abuse battery with a dangerous weapon.

From SPD:

"The Shreveport Police Department remains committed to addressing domestic violence and ensuring the safety of our community. Anyone experiencing domestic violence is encouraged to seek help by calling local authorities or support services."
