Shreveport Police Arrest Man Following Public Battery

Shreveport Police have arrested a man following an investigation into an incident at the Circle K located on Olive Street.

The victim told SPD that Steven Brown, her former dating partner, threatened her, took her car keys, and pulled her wig during an altercation.

Detectives were able to get surveillance footage showing Brown confronting the victim as she walked up to her car, punching her in the face, and taking her keys. After returning the keys, Brown leaned into the victim’s vehicle and seemed to physically assault her before leaving the location.

Late last week, members of the Shreveport Police Department’s Warrants Unit took Brown into custody at the Probation and Parole office on Youree Drive. He faces a charge of Battery of a Dating Partner.
