Shreveport Police Searching for Repeat Domestic Violence Offender

Shreveport Police Department got a call back in March about a domestic violence incident.

They were called to Natalie Street where they found a woman bleeding from her face. The woman said that her boyfriend, 32-year-old Deven Pottorff hit her in the face after she refused to let him drive her car. She claimed that Pottorff was also holding a knife while he hit her.

Police started the investigation and found out that Pottorff has a history of domestic violence including an incident from earlier this year and one from 2023. Detectives were able to get a warrant out for Pottorff for for one count of Domestic Abuse Battery and one count of Domestic Abuse Battery – Intentionally Inflicting Serious Bodily Injury.
