The Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) is combing through thousands and thousands of federal government contracts looking for ways to save money. The agency claims to have saved more than 100 billion dollars as they try to find waste an inefficiency. The cutting has started and Texas is one of the states that could be hit hard.

One of the primary projects DOGE is working on right now is cancelling leases for government offices. This does not necessarily mean these agencies are closing, but many agencies will be moving into more efficient office spaces. Hundreds of government leases have been cancelled. These moves will save billions of dollars. But so far, DOGE has not outlined where each of these agencies will be relocated.
