SHREVEPORT, LA – The Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) continues to look for ways to trim federal spending. The agency claims it has already saved more than 100 billion dollars and this is just the beginning. But these cuts are being felt in states from coast to coast. Louisiana is beginning to feel the pinch of this belt tightening.

One of the primary projects DOGE is working on right now is cancelling leases for government offices. This does not necessarily mean these agencies are closing, but many agencies will be moving into more efficient office spaces. Hundreds of government leases have been cancelled. These moves will save billions of dollars. But so far, DOGE has not outlined where each of these agencies will be relocated.
