Google Maps and Waze also made the list, and that may be the most practical takeaway for a lot of local drivers. You may not need to download anything new at all. Search for “gas” or “gas station,” and both apps can show nearby stations and posted prices.

The difference is that Waze leans more heavily on crowd-sourced data, while the segment noted Google Maps may not update as often. If you are headed across town, toward Barksdale, or out on I-20, that quick search could save you from paying more just because a station is convenient.
