Bossier Farmer’s Market & Other Events Postponed Due to Weather
As Shreveport-Bossier prepares for more storms this weekend, there are several events that have been canceled or postponed due to the threat of severe weather.
Here's a Look at a Couple of Events That Have Been Rescheduled
The Red River Revel fundraiser Cork was originally scheduled for tomorrow, has now been rescheduled for Sunday.
Also, the Bossier City Farmer’s Market was originally scheduled to kick off their 2025 season tomorrow, but officials announced that because of impending, possibly dangerous, weather this weekend, they are postponing the opening weekend until the 12th.
It is with much regret that we have to POSTPONE this Saturday’s (4/5/25) Bossier City Farmers Market opening day due the threat of severe thunderstorms, flooding rain, high wind, and weather. Under normal circumstances, we are a rain or shine market, but the forecast this Saturday calls for a 100% chance of thunderstorms, possible 2 inches of rain, and high winds, and we just can't take the chance of someone getting hurt or having severe damage to their property.
An opening day postponement has never happened in our 10 years of operation and we are sick over it, but we will have our Season Opening Day on Saturday 4/12/25 and we hope everybody can make it out!
The Bossier City Farmer’s Market has been operating for 10 years in Bossier, and after this postponement, this season will run every weekend from April 12th through November. The Market is in the south parking lot of Pierre Bossier Mall, and will feature several new vendors and farmers for the 2025 season.
The Bossier Farmer’s Market offers free admission and free parking and will offer, of course, fresh, locally grown, fruits and vegetables, as well as jams, baked goods, salsas, pickles, BBQ, handmade soaps, art, and kids activities.
