Shreveport Man Arrested for Drugs Following Car Chase

Shreveport Police have arrested a man following a car chase that crossed through Caddo and Bossier parishes over the weekend.

On Saturday evening, an SPD Officer conducting patrol near Downtown Shreveport saw a Chevrolet Tahoe traveling the wrong way on a one-way street near Market Street. When the Officer attempted to conduct a traffic stop, the driver refused to stop and fled.

During the chase, Jamie Scott allegedly committed numerous traffic violations, including running red lights and driving off the road. The chase eventually ended at Johnson Street and Texas Avenue, where the Tahoe crashed into a fence at a dead end.

Fortunately, despite the dangerous driving and the pursuit traveling through two parishes, no one was seriously hurt.

Scott was arrested and has been charged with:

· Aggravated Flight from an Officer

· Possession of Schedule II Narcotics

· Operating a Vehicle with a Suspended License

· Improper Lane Usage

A review of Scott's arrest record shows he has been arrested over 40 times in Bossier Parish and around 6 times by the Shreveport Police Department.
