
Shreveport Police Continue Crackdown on Squatters
The Shreveport Police Department is continuing its dedicated efforts to address squatting and the associated criminal activities that affect the city's neighborhoods. Recent enforcement has resulted in multiple arrests, demonstrating a proactive stance against these offenses.
On September 20, officers arrested Lamarcus Brown on squatting charges, along with outstanding warrants for bank fraud, aggravated assault, battery with a weapon, and child endangerment.
That same day, Quicton Johnson was also taken into custody for violating the city’s squatting ordinance.
he following day, Eric Pitts and Mika Robinson were arrested for squatting, with Pitts facing an additional charge of simple arson.
Enforcement actions also included the arrests of Megann Rodriquez on September 20 and Misty Talbert on September 19, who was also charged with two counts of burglary.
These ongoing operations are part of a broader strategy to maintain safety and security for residents by enforcing laws that protect property and community well-being.
