Road-Rage Incident Involving a Gun Leads to Arrest in Shreveport

Shreveport Police have arrested a woman accused of pointing a gun at two people during a road rage incident on Youree Drive.

Officers responded to Youree Drive regarding an assault and battery complaint. Officers learned that the incident had occurred earlier that morning.

Investigators got video footage, interviewed the two victims, and canvassed nearby businesses. Additional footage and witness statements helped detectives determine that 40 year-old Latasha Williams allegedly pointed a handgun at both victims while the vehicles were traveling along Youree Drive.

Detectives obtained an arrest warrant charging Williams with two counts of aggravated assault with a firearm.

Williams turned herself in at the Caddo Correctional Center on July 21, 2026, and was taken into custody.
