The Shreveport Police Department is asking for the public’s help in locating a man wanted in connection with a violent disturbance that occurred in downtown Shreveport earlier this year.
An arrest warrant has been issued for Kobe Gordon Cook, who faces one count of Second-Degree Battery.
Altercation at Downtown Venue Leaves Juvenile Unconscious
The incident dates back to April 14, 2026, at approximately 2:02 a.m., when Shreveport Police patrol officers responded to a reported fight at the Sand Bar. Upon arriving at the scene, officers determined that several white male subjects had been involved in a physical altercation. One individual told police he jumped into the fray after witnessing his brother fighting multiple people.

As investigators reviewed video evidence of the brawl, they observed a 16-year-old juvenile actively participating in the fight and striking another individual. The juvenile was later knocked unconscious during the melee and has since been issued a juvenile summons for his involvement.
Detectives Identify Suspect from Video Evidence
On May 18, 2026, detectives with the Violent Crimes Unit took over the supplemental follow-up investigation. After reviewing additional video footage, detectives identified Kobe Gordon Cook as a key suspect.
According to investigators, Cook allegedly assaulted the 16-year-old and placed him in a chokehold. While the juvenile was restrained, another unidentified, shirtless male repeatedly struck the victim in the ribs and back. After Cook released the chokehold, the juvenile lost consciousness and collapsed to the ground.
