SHREVEPORT, LA-    Shreveport police arrest multiple convicted felons over the weekend with illegally owned firearms.

The Shreveport Police Department made multiple arrests over the course of the weekend for convicted felons in possession of firearms. Detectives, Narcotics Agents, Traffic Enforcement Officers, and Patrol Officers proactively patrolled areas of the city to combat violent crime.

During this cooperative event, 6 individuals were arrested and found to be convicted felons in possession of firearms. On July 22nd, 2023, Cameron Wilson (7-17-93) and Demario Henderson (12-9-94) were arrested for felon in possession of a firearm and numerous other charges after officers contacted them in separate events.

On July 23rd, 2023, officers arrested Bennie Walton (10-13-76), Zauntravious Davis (8-22-2001), Taylor Southern (7-8-87), and Dameian Hodges (3-10-83) for being convicted felons in possession of firearms and multiple other crimes. Each offender was arrested in separate incidents. All firearms have been seized as evidence.

If convicted these suspects could face up to twenty five years in prison each.

We are required to advise that all suspects are innocent until proven guilty
