SHREVEPORT, LA - More bad news on the retail front for Shreveport. We've know for several months the Big Lots in Bossier City would be closing. We have now confirmed the Shreveport store on Shreveport Barksdale Highway will be closing this year.

The company has announced another round of cutbacks. This comes after sales have dropped by more than 10% in many markets.

The discount chain is shuttering more than 300 stores as a way to cut costs.

Once the Shreveport store closes later this year, there will be no Big Lots in the local market. The Natchitoches store is also closing.

When Are the Big Lots Stores Closing?

KEEL News has learned this is the final week for the Bossier City Store on East Texas. The Shreveport store will be closing on December 15th. The Bossier store has slashed prices by more than 20%. The Shreveport store has started marking down items by 5-15%.
