Back in March, Shreveport Police responded to Ochsner LSU Health after a male victim arrived at the hospital suffering from a stab wound to the back.

The victim was taken to the hospital in a personal vehicle. When SPD got to the hospital, Officers made contact with him and were able to gather information about the incident, including the location and the identity of a possible suspect.

Through the investigation, the suspect was identified as Nicholas D. Parks, who is believed to have fled the scene shortly after the stabbing.

A day after the stabbing, an arrest warrant was signed for Parks for Attempted Second-Degree Homicide.

SPD started a lengthy search for Parks, who was initially hard to find. Police interviewed witnesses and followed leads that they hoped would lead to Park's arrest.

Yesterday, SPD finally was able to track Parks down and arrest him. Parks in currently in custody awaiting trial for Attempted First Degree Homicide.

Parks is considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
