A new poll reveals that even though Americans don't want to get into another war in the Middle East, the largest majority of U.S. citizens approve of sending Congress to Syria. This earth-shaking information was released today from The Onion as President Obama pushes his plan of military intervention in Syria. And it's completely imaginary.

The fake poll's results show that only 1 out of 4 Americans believe the US should get involved in the Syrian conflict, but more than 90 percent strongly believe that putting the 535 members of the United States Congress on the ground in the war-torn Middle Eastern state of Syria along with each and every current member of the House and Senate would be the best course of action to take.

This of course would include House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, House Speaker John Boehner and House Majority Leader Eric Cantor.

The Onion also "reported" that Carol Abare, 50, said in the nationwide telephone survey, “I believe it is in the best interest of the United States, and the global community as a whole, to move forward with the deployment of all U.S. congressional leaders to Syria immediately.”

Other made-up information indicated that an estimated 9 out of 10 Americans believe that now is absolutely the perfect moment for the United States to send our legislators to Syria.

The satire site's pretend report also claimed Great Britain, Iraq, Iran, France, the Arab League, Russia, Japan, Mexico, China, Turkey and Canada are all in favor of sending the Congress to Syria with little concern of whether the Assad regime used Sarin gas and other chemical weapons or not.
