The Louisiana legislature is debating a bill that would allow any concealed carry permit holder to carry their weapon in a restaurant that serves alcohol.

The bill has passed the House and is heading to the Senate for approval.  The original bill was intended to just allow off-duty police officers to carry their weapon in an alcohol-serving eating establishment.

That was changed in committee.  The measure passed in the House 63-25.

Should guns be allowed in alcohol-serving restaurants?
