Shreveport Police Arrest Two for Juvenile Cruelty Over a Kool-Aid Cup
Shreveport Police have arrested two individuals following a cruelty to a juvenile incident that happened earlier this week.
Officers responded to Peach Street after two Child Protective Services caseworkers reported witnessing an incident involving an 11 year-old. The caseworkers were reportedly at the location on an unrelated matter when they observed two adults physically hitting the child outside the residence.
SPD Officers investigated the incident and determined that Sonya Davis, and Marcus Darby, were involved.
The incident reportedly stemmed from an argument involving a frozen Kool-Aid cup.
Both Davis and Darby were taken into custody and charged with cruelty to a juvenile.
From SPD:
"The Shreveport Police Department reminds the public that violence against children is never acceptable. Children deserve protection, patience, and care—not abuse."
