Shreveport Police have arrested a woman accused of stealing political campaign signs from multiple locations across the city.

Following an investigation by SPD's Property Crimes Unit, detectives identified Katherine Sifuentes as the suspect seen on video removing campaign signs and placing them into the trunk of a dark-colored Mercedes-Benz.

The investigation began back in June, after it was reported to SPD that campaign signs for a candidate seeking a Shreveport City Court Judgeship had been stolen from several public locations.

During the investigation, SPD Detectives also identified an additional victim whose campaign signs had allegedly been stolen by Sifuentes.

As a result of the investigation, Sifuentes was arrested and charged with two counts of Theft, one count for each victim.

From SPD:

"The Shreveport Police Department appreciates the assistance provided by the public during this investigation."
