Coroner Names Ingleside Shooting Victim
The Caddo Coroner has named the victim in an early morning shooting in Shreveport's Ingleside neighborhood. 34 year old Edward Lattin was found suffering from numerous gunshot wounds in a vacant lot. From there, Lattin was transported to Ochsner LSU Health hospital where he was pronounced dead at 9:36 a.m.
Shreveport police continued the investigation efforts throughout the day with Violent Crimes Investigators. Through interviewing witnesses, and other methods they were able to track down a suspect.
26 year old Joshua Barnes was arrested and charged for the early fatal shooting. He is in jail and charged with 2nd Degree Murder in the death of Edward Lattin.
Mr. Lattin was positively identified through finger print comparison by the Shreveport Police Department, which continues to investigate the shooting. Interested media should direct further inquiries to SPD.
