Shreveport Woman Arrested After Argument Leads to Shooting

A Monday morning shooting leads to an arrest!

Police got the call to an apartment complex on Silver Pine saying someone had been shot. When SPD showed up they found a man with a gunshot wound in his upper groin area. The man was taken to a local hospital with what first responders described as life-threatening injuries.

After gathering evidence and talking to witnesses SPD Detectives found out that there was a heated argument between the man who was shot and Breanna Wheeler inside the complex. At some point in the fight, Wheeler pulled a gun and shot the man.

Wheeler was arrested and taken to the Violent Crimes Office for an interview. Police took her statement and charged her with second degree aggravated Battery. While wheeler was being processed SPD found out she had several outstanding traffic warrants.
