Arrests for sex crimes seem to be on the rise in Shreveport, and though the crimes themselves are despicable the arrests and charges are good news. The more these types of criminals stay behind bars, the safer we as a community are.

It seems in the year 2020, arrests for sex crimes seem to be on an up-tick. This is because more people are coming forward in speaking with detectives when these horrible crimes take place. Making investigations easier to solve.

Shreveport Police Sex Crimes detectives have jailed a man in connection to a sexual assault of a woman in east Shreveport back in July.

On July 10, 2020, a victim disclosed to Shreveport Police that they had been sexually assaulted by 25-year-old Antone Hill, of the 1200 block of Burchett Street in Bossier City. Detectives launched a weeks long investigation and ultimately were able to procure enough evidence to charge Hill with Sexual Battery.

Hill was taken into custody on September 2, 2020, and following interviews, he was booked into the Shreveport City Jail on his charges.

The Shreveport Police Department encourages anyone who has been a victim of any sexual assault to contact Shreveport Police Sex Crimes Detectives at 318-673-6955, or contact the main line at 318-673-7300 #3. No means no.
