West Shreveport Hotel Sweep Leads to Prostitution Arrest
The Shreveport Police Department's Vice Unit executed a strategic sweep in West Shreveport today. SPD initiated a "targeted enforcement" operation along the Monkhouse Drive corridor, as part of the scheduled Court Order Day initiatives for the department.
Officers focused their efforts on commercial properties in the Monkhouse corridor, as the department has identified the area as a "front doorstep" to the city. With this corridor being the first eastbound exits on I-20 into Shreveport, as well as Monkhouse Drive being the road that leads into and out of the Shreveport Regional Airport.
Today's Sweep Results In Prostitution Arrest
The Vice Unit sweep included a hotel in area near the Greenwood Road and Monkhouse Drive intersection to investigate suspected illegal activity.
Law enforcement personnel made direct contact with Frank Ogles at a hotel property. That encounter immediately transitioned into an investigation...resulting in Ogles being arrested and booked on a single count of Prostitution.
Department officials confirmed this targeted sweep is part of a broader strategy to clean up the area. Officers remain committed to proactive patrols to protect commercial business interests, and maintain general neighborhood safety.
