Elise Birmingham and Liesl Cruz, stars of the Shreveport Little Theatre production "Cry It Out," talk with 101.7 / 710 KEEL's Robert J Wright and Erin McCarty about the play, which opens at SLT on Friday, January 10.

The play, say the two stars, explores the relationship between three women, all in the throes of post-partem depression. The play, written by Molly Smith Metzler, explores the gap between the myth of the joys of motherhood and its sometimes harsh realities. As on reviewer wrote about the play, "Funny and wise, ironic and illustrative...'Cry It Out' shines a light on the struggles experienced by mothers in our society. Metzler provides important insights into these questions, and a terrific evening of theater."
