Jennifer Carsillo and Allison Miller, two of the stars of Shreveport Little Theatre's "Bright Star," talk with 101.7 / 710 KEEL's Robert J Wright and Erin McCarty about the upcoming premiere.

"Bright Star", a musical written by Steve Martin and Edie Brickell, opens Thursday night at the Margaret Place theater, with additional performances Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Evening performances begin at 7:30, Sunday's matinee stars at 2.

The play can also be seen next Thursday through Sunday (October 24 through 27).

"Bright Star" is set in North Carolina's Blue Ridge Mountains in 1946, with flashbacks to the early '20s. Music in the play was inspired by the 2013 Martin / Brickell Grammy winning bluegrass album, "Love Has Come to You."
