'Inherit the Wind' Opens at Shreveport Little Theatre

Jim Cowles and Jennifer Carsillo, stars of the Shreveport Little Theatres' "Inherit the Wind," talk with 101.7 / 710 KEEL's Robert J Wright and Erin McCarty about the play, which opens Thursday night (February 28).

The play, written by Jerome Lawrence and Robert Edwin Lee, is directed by Mary Joris. "Inherit the Wind" has its genesis in the events of the famous Scopes "Monkey" trial and is generally regarded as one of the most outstanding dramas of the 20th century, described on the SLT site as "a portrait of an explosive episode in American culture."

"Inherit the Wind" will open Thursday night (February 28) at the Shreveport Little Theatre on Margaret Place. Performances on February 28, March 1,2, 8 and 9 will be at 7:30pm.
