Shreveport Police Need Your Help Solving Weekend Murder
Shreveport Police are investigating a Sunday morning shooting that left a Shreveport man dead.
On April 10, 2022, just after midnight, Shreveport Police patrol officers responded to the 4700 block of Bernstein Avenue on reports of a shooting. Arriving officers located 32-year-old Darnell Jackson suffering from multiple gunshot injuries. He was pronounced deceased on the scene by the Shreveport Fire Department.
Investigators collected evidence while investigators conducted interviews and combed the area for video surveillance footage. Detectives learned through witness reports that Jackson was sitting on the front porch of the residence when a subject approached him and shot him multiple times. The suspect was described as a black male wearing dark-colored clothes and a hoodie. The suspect fled the scene in an unknown direction immediately after the shooting.
