Back in January Shreveport Police were called to the scene of a fight in Downtown Shreveport.

When Police showed up they found a man laying unconscious on the sidewalk with face and head injuries. Witnesses told SPD that the victim was hit in the face, fell to the ground, and hit his head hard on the concrete. The suspect left the scene after the victim did not get up.

After being rushed to the hospital the victim was said to have life-threatening injuries. An investigator was told by a witness that the person who hit the victim was Trevor Moses (26). On February 6th Moses was arrested and charged with Second Degree Battery.

On February 15th SPD was told that the victim had died from his injuries, and that it was now considered a homicide case. Checking cameras and talking with witnesses, SPD found that Moses left Sand Bar when the initial fight started. Eventually Moses and the victim ended up on Commerce Street where the victim was knocked out.

From SPD:

"The Shreveport Police Department is working closely with the Caddo Parish District Attorney’s Office to determine if additional charges, including upgraded homicide charges, will be pursued against Moses. This investigation remains active, and updates will be provided as more information becomes available."
