Shreveport Man Arrested for Domestic Violence and 15 Warrants
On Sunday, Shreveport Police were called to Patzman Street to a domestic violence call.
SPD showed up to the house, and a woman told them that Marcus Williams had forced his way in to her home and hit her in the face. Four children were in the house when the abuse happened. The woman had swelling and redness on her face, and was hit so hard that it broke her glasses.
The next day while on a different assignment, an Officer with SPD saw a car that she believed was being driven by Williams. The Officer acted fast, and was able to get the driver to pull the car over. The Officer confirmed that the driver was in-fact Williams, and took him in to custody.
While running Williams' information, Police found out that he had 15 outstanding warrants out for traffic related violations.
Williams is now facing charges of four counts of domestic abuse battery with child endangerment along with the multiple outstanding warrants.
From SPD:
"This case highlights the dedication and vigilance of our officers—particularly this detective—who went above and beyond the call of duty to help ensure the safety of our community."
