Rick Seaton Trial Set To Begin Today

A former top aide to Mayor Cedric Glover is headed to trial today. Rick Seaton is accused of raping an 18-year-old woman after the 2010 Independence Bowl. The young woman had asked Seaton to help

her after her boyfriend had gotten arrested at the game. Seaton took the woman to city hall where he allegedly assaulted her in the Mayor's office. Seaton was fired shortly after police learned about the incident. Much of the case centers on whether or not the sex was consensual. Seaton has waived his right to a jury trial and the case will be heard by Judge Ramona Emmanuel.
