Seaton Sentenced

Former Assistant Chief Administrative Officer Rick Seaton has been sentenced to a total of 18 years at hard labor -- 15 for his forcible rape conviction and three for abuse of office. Caddo District Court Judge Ramona Emanual has ordered that the sentences be served concurrently. She's also ordered Seaton to serve the first three of those fifteen years without benefit of probation, parole, or suspension of sentence. Seaton must also register for life as a sex offender when he's released from prison. Seaton's attorney had filed to pre-sentencing motions -- one seeking a post-judgement acquittal and the other seeking to quashh the abuse of office penalty. Judge Emanuel denied both.
