Check Out this Scary Video of Rats in the Kitchen at One Popeye’s Location

The legendary Popeye's Chicken is a Louisiana favorite. The chicken chain has expanded across the nation and today we learn that one location in the nation's capitol has been shut down after rats are found in the kitchen area.

Video of the rats in the business has gone viral and the health department jumped into action.

We have to note this is not a restaurant in Louisiana. This location is in Washington D.C.'s Eastern Market neighborhood. The Health Department stepped in and closed the business until this rat infestation problem has been taken care of.

Fox 5 reports this Popeye's location was shut down just a little over two weeks after the video was posted.

The man shooting the video is a delivery guy. He recorded the video as he was delivering raw chicken to this restaurant. You can clearly see the rats scatter as he turns on the lights in the kitchen area. They run into the ceiling area.
