The City of Shreveport Issued This Statement:

As Water and Sewerage crews and contractors continue to lower manganese levels, we are intensifying our strategic pipe-flushing efforts to expedite water turnover. We have increased and amplified our testing to better assist with treatment adjustments.

The city is also "cleaning and washing the water basins and expect to complete this work by the end of the week. Residents who still notice discoloration should see improvement."
