Man Arrested in Connection With West Shreveport Shooting
On Wednesday, May 3rd, 2022, at 5:45 p.m., Shreveport Police officers responded to a shooting at a hotel in the 4900 block of West Monkhouse Drive.
Arriving officers located a female suffering from at least one gunshot injury to the upper body. She was transported to a local hospital with what was described as a life-threatening injury.
Investigators were summoned to the scene. Through their on-going investigation detectives were able to obtain information that led them to determine that a male on scene, Matthew Foster (10-2-1982) was reportedly responsible for the shooting.
Foster was taken to the Shreveport Police Complex for questioning and following interviews was charged with one count of attempted second degree murder. No bond was set. He was booked into the Shreveport City Jail.
