LeVette Fuller: Why ‘No’ Vote on MLK Housing Proposal [VIDEO]
Shreveport City Councilwoman LeVette Fuller talks with 101.7 / 710 KEEL's Robert J Wright and Erin McCarty about Tuesday's City Council vote, which by a 5 - 2 margin, turned down a proposal for an apartment complex in the city's Martin Luther King Drive area. Fuller was one of the "no" votes.
The first term councilwoman gives KEEL listeners the history behind the idea and explains her vote on the measure, which she says the idea for new housing in that area may not be dead. "Ideally you sit down with the community and you figure out a compromise to make it work," Fuller says.
