Describing her critics as possibly being "sexist" and "intellectually lazy," Shreveport City Councilwoman talks to 101.7 / 710 KEEL's Robert J Wright and Erin McCarty about her recent "no" vote at last week's council meeting, a vote that was part of the 4 -3 rejection of the highly discussed Cross bayou proposal.

Fuller tells KEEL listeners that in the midst of a recall movement led by Shreveport Pastor Linus Mays, that she is thankful for the support that she has received. "What's going through my mind is we have work to do," Fuller says, "We are not going to be distracted by literal silliness...we need to stay on track."

"I am not a victim," she continues, referring to the recall petition. "The are coming after me rather than get their project together. Don't try to make a victim out of me by asking, 'Why are they only going after the black girl?' Maybe they're sexist. Maybe they're just intellectually lazy and didn't want to put together a good project."
