Beefed up Law enforcement patrolling took place over the weekend. Shreveport Police and Caddo Sheriffs were taking to the streets over the weekend, trying to curtail some of the ongoing violent crimes plaguing the Shreveport community.

The patrolling turned out to be a total success, netting numerous arrests and getting more than 60 illegal guns off the streets. The large number of arrests made during the patrols can be seen below.

On Friday, June 11th, the City Jail Bookings showed at least 42 arrests were made, 1 was an Illegal Possession/Stolen Firearm, 6 or more were for Convicted Felon/Possession Firearm and 5 or more were for Weapon use Drug Distribution/Violent Act.
The Caddo Parish Sheriff/CCC Bookings showed that 28 arrests were made, 18 were for Convicted Felon/Possession Firearm and 8 or more were for Possession of Firearm/Possession of CDS.
On Saturday, June 12th, the City Jail Bookings showed at least 18 arrest were made, at least 1 was for Convicted Felon/Possession Firearm and at least 1 was for Weapon Use Drug Distribution/Violent Act.
The Caddo Parish Sheriff/CCC bookings showed that 25 arrests were made, 8 were for Convicted Felon/Possession Firearm and at least 3 were for Possession of Firearm/Possession of CDS.
 On Sunday, June 13th, the City Jail bookings showed at least 14 arrests were made, at least 1 was for Convicted Felon/Possession of Firearm and 1 was for Weapon Use Drug Distribution/Violent Act.
The Caddo Parish Sheriff/CCC Bookings showed that 26 arrests were made, at least 7 were for Convicted Felon/Possession of Firearm and 4 were for Possession of Firearm/Possession of CDS.
A total of 41 arrests for Convicted Felon/Possession Firearm, 7 Weapon Drug Dist/Violent Act and 15 Possession of Firearm/Poss of CDS in all.
That equals out to around 60 guns taken off the streets of Shreveport in one weekend.
