
Shreveport Man Awaiting Trial Gets More Sex Offense Charges Added

SHREVEPORT, LA- Shreveport Police Department Adds Charges to Man Awaiting Trial for Sex Offenses
Detectives with the Shreveport Police Sex Crimes Unit have added more charges to 43-year-old Cortez Lane. Lane, who is currently awaiting trial for molestation of a juvenile, is now facing an additional charge of second-degree rape for an unrelated matter.
On July 2, 2024, Shreveport Police Sex Crimes detectives submitted warrants to the Caddo Parish District Attorney's Office for a second-degree rape charge stemming from a case dating back to 2020. Lane will now face charges of second-degree rape in addition to molestation of a juvenile.
