State Senator Greg Tarver talks with 101.7 / 710 KEEL's Robert J Wright and Erin McCarty about his letters to Governor John Bel Edwards in which he vehemently objected to the possible appointment of former Biomedical Research Foundation Chairman Steve Skrivanos to a new board advising Ochsner Health in its management of the Shreveport's University Health Hospital and LSU Medical School.

Tarver, a longtime critic of BRF's running of the hospital and med school, tells KEEL listeners that, "Number one, Ochsner said that BRF would not have anything to do with the new concern at all, and all of a sudden, they changed. Putting Steve Skrivanos on the board is just like divorcing your wife, turn around and remarry, then move your ex-wife in with you all."

The Senator, who says his objections to a Skrivanos are not personal, adds that he hopes the Governor will use his influence to block any appointment because "he's just not fit for that board."
