Governor John Bel Edwards and his administration will make an offer to Biomedical Research Foundation today to continue as the state's operator of the safety net hospitals in Monroe and Shreveport. Jay Dardenne says the offer will be theirs to accept or reject and he hopes Bio Med will accept the offer and continue to be partners with the state.

However, not everyone is happy with the proposal. State Representative Cedric Glover says that afters several meetings this week on the issue, he is certain there is an effort to undermine Bio Med and the school in Shreveport.

Cedric will be joining us later this morning to discuss the latest developments.
