101.7 / 710 KEEL's Robert J Wright and Erin McCarty celebrate her 35th anniversary in Shreveport radio. McCarty moved to the Shreveport - Bossier area in May of 1984, pulling the midday news shift on both KWKH AM and FM. Since then her time on the ArkLaTex airways has been uninterrupted.

Following a dozen years on the legendary country outlet, Erin moved over to KRUF, teaming with Robert J Wright on KRUF, which was relaunching as The Big Dog 94-5. After seven years in the Top 40 format, the duo moved to 96.5 KVKI, then in March of 2014, two doors down the hall to 101.7 / 710 KEEL.

As part of the anniversary, local politicos chimed in with a variety of proclamations. State Senator Barrow Peacock stopped by with congratulations from that legislative body. Ben Riggs, Communications for Shreveport Adrian Perkins, delivered well wishes from the city's chief executive. And Traci Landry, Bossier City's Public Information Officer, read a congratulatory message from Mayor Lo Walker.

The morning's well-wishers also included United States Senators John Kennedy and Bill Cassidy, Congressman Mike Johnson, State Representatives Alan Seabaugh and Cedric Glover, former Shreveport Mayor John Hussey, Bishop Larry Brandon from Praise Temple and Townsquare Media CEO Bill Wilson.
