On Tuesday September 13, 2011 at approximately 11:20 p.m., a homeowner in the 3800 block of Richmond Avenue was returning home when she noticed two men breaking into her vehicle.  When the men observed the homeowner, one of the men pointed a gun in her direction and both men fled the scene on foot afterward.  The homeowner notified police, at which time officers quickly arrived and began to circulate the area for the suspects.  After a canvas of the area, the two suspects were not located.  A short time later, a second call of a vehicle burglary was dispatched in the area blocks away from the initial call.  Responding officers were able to locate two men fitting the description of the initial suspects involved in the earlier call.  One of the suspects was taken into custody immediately, while the other fled on foot.  Patrol officers gave foot pursuit of the fleeing suspect at which time he was apprehended after attempting to scale a barbed wire fence.  The suspect sustained minor injury as a result of his attempts to scale the fence and was treated at the scene by EMS personnel.
