UPDATE(7/4/19 - 10:50am): Arrest records obtained by KEEL News show Shreveport City Council Woman LeVette Fuller was arrested overnight on July 4th for Driving While Intoxicated and Texting While Driving.

According to Shreveport Police, Fuller was found in the 500 Block of Kirby Place in Shreveport just after 2am. The reports says

"(SPD officer) observed a 2017 Fiat 500X om the middle of the roadway in the 500 block of Kirby Pl without any lights on. I made contact with Mrs. Fuller and at that point in time I could smell a strong odor of alcoholic beverage emitting from her breath and person. Fuller stated to me that she was going to [sic] fast around the curve while texting a male friend and hit a parked vehicle. Fuller also stated that she consumed 2-3 glasses of wine."

The arrest report also states that Fuller refused a breath sample at the scene.

The arrest happened shortly after 2am. Fuller remains in the city jail awaiting bond setting.
