A would-be purse-snatcher didn’t get the purse and didn’t get very far away before she was captured.

Bossier City police say she tried to steal a 28-year-old woman’s purse outside the Kroger store on Benton Road just before nine o’clock this morning.  But she was unable to get the purse away from the owner’s grasp, so she left.  Witnesses gave police the woman’s description and an officer spotted her about 10 minutes later, walking in the 2000 block of Scott Street.  20-year-old Alicia Marie Lister was taken into custody and booked into the Bossier City Jail on a charge of attempted purse snatching.
