101.7 / 710 KEEL's Erin McCarty responds to charges by City Councilwoman Stephanie Lynch that those who opposed the city's $10,000 grant to the upcoming Shreveport Urban Film Festival are "inciting a mob".

After voicing concern that the city council had not done its "due diligence" when voting in favor of the funding, KEEL radio received the following text from Councilwoman Lynch:

If she (organizer Tanesha Morris) does (turn down the $10,000 funding) I'm holding you squarely responsible for inciting a white mob against this young lady. Absolutely irresponsible what you all did and why and how you did it. This is the same kind of s**t that got / get black people killed.

I feel you owe her and your listeners an apology for this public lynching (no pun intended). It was just wrong.
